Modern and unique “Women’s Parables” combined with speaking

Janice has been a Christian speaker in the church community for 28 years.  Out of her initial experience in women’s ministry, she expanded to writing and acting in Christian dramas,  acting in what she calls “Modern Parables for Women” to illustrate the subjects about which she is speaking and teaching in churches, Christian Retreats, and Women’s Ministries‘ Special Events.   The Biblical dramas Janice produces for women’s groups help provide visuals for the heart and mind, from “Janice the Actress” to illustrate the point of her message.  Janice usually begins with a Drama of some sort, becoming    the woman she needs to be through acting, and ending by speaking and/or teaching to give the Drama good, Biblical principles. Sometimes in her dramas, she is one particular woman; often she is “Every Woman.”  Women retain what they see and hear because of the unique presentations using acting and speaking together.   The two combine to create a powerful, multi-layered message.  Women often tell Janice that they are touched by her presentations,  because they hit several  of their senses: visual, emotional, and intellectual.  Her messages are solid in doctrine, yet practical in application, and are presented in such a way as to draw women in.They are funny, touching, and done in such a way that women tend to identify with the character. During the course of her presentations there is often laughter and tears, but always hearts that are drawn closer to God, no matter where women are in their path of faith: seeking Him, or somewhere along the journey, all just WALKING  ON!

Janice and her husband have been married for 40 years, and they have lived in the Denver metro area for 35 of those years.   They have two children who are both married, and Janice says that she is blessed in having doubled her number of children with a wonderful son and daughter-in-law.  Janice and her husband are small business owners in the Denver area, owning four Dairy Queens.  Her husband runs the businesses, allowing Janice to spend her time ministering to women.  She and her husband are members of Waterstone Community Church where they have been active for the past 12 years.  She mentors younger women and serves at Open Door Preschool where she comes regularly to read to the children and play with them--a great joy in her life.

Her previous ministry experience includes years in Mothers Of Preschoolers leadership, teaching and leading Bible Studies, founding and leading for many years an ongoing class for women at her church, co-founding her church’s Prayer Ministry, and teaching a weekly Bible Study with a team from Prison Fellowship at a local women’s prison.
